Why move to TN?
I just received this report today from GNAR (greater nashville association of realtors). I wanted to pass this on to all my readers. As our nation’s economy seems to be struggling, many people are considering moving to different areas of the country to find a more stable community. Here is yet another reason that Dickson, TN may be the area for you.
HOME SALES DECREASE 25% FOR SEPTEMBER
“Greater Nashville home sales decreased 25% in September, Third quarter figures are down 17% and year-to-date numbers are down 11%. Home prices have actually continued to increase, as has inventory. You can click here for additional details on current closings, as well as historical data.
Remember, this is really a very good time to buy a home in this area. Interest rates are very favorable, inventory provides a significant selection, jobs are available, and the economy here is stable. As a matter of fact, just today the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and Partnership 2010 noted that over 19,000 new jobs have been added in the region in the past year. Personal income has risen over $1,800 per capita, making this region 3rd nationally. Population has grown by more than 33,000 and 43 companies have either moved their headquarters here or opened a major office here.
Waiting til next year can only create risk of increased prices, despite what some financial reporters and talk show hosts might say based on observing national, rather than regional/local trends.“
