Should I sell now?
It is a buyers market right now, as usual during the holiday season. So it is not necessarily the best time of year to sell. However, if you are wondering is now the time to sell or should a wait a few years and see how much more I can make, then I would tell you to sell this year.
I am no fortune teller, but over the last two years the market has escalated at a remarkable rate. Things in the last 6 months seem to be leveling out. So my decision is to sell now rather than continuing to make payments and not gain much more equity. I believe I have earned the max equity to debt ratio that I am going to over the next few years so why not find a new home that I believe I can put that equity into and gain max portions out of for the next two years. Everyone wants to flip houses over night but this can put you ahead with out all the stress. It may take a few more months but in my opinion its well worth it for my husband and I.
The key is to make your home the best in the price range. You do that by having great curb appeal and making the inside of you home like a show home. You have to start packing to move anyways so only leave out the things that are tasteful and generic. By that I mean put the family pics and creations in a box for your next home.
